CASB's 82nd Annual Convention Call for Presentations is now OPEN!

We are excited to announce the opening of our Call for Presentations for this year’s Convention. Breakout session proposals will be accepted through May 19th, 2022. Use this link to find instructions for submitting your proposal, as well as, tips for an outstanding breakout session.

  • CASB’s 82nd Annual Convention is December 1 - 3, 2022 at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs
  • The Call for Presentations closes on May 19, 2022
  • Notifications of session decisions will be emailed on August 12, 2022

Rural Board Members Roundtable – April 19, 2022

CASB and the Colorado Rural Schools Alliance are hosting a series of roundtable discussions for rural board members in order to provide the opportunity for discussion on rural education topics. We recognize that there are unique challenges that rural board members face and we are here to support you in addressing those concerns. The discussion topics are driven by our rural board members. Please submit discussion topic ideas when you register. The roundtables are not recorded.

CASB Conversations Webinar – Nonrenewals on April 28

Nonrenewal is the process by which a school board acts to interrupt the automatic renewal of a probationary teacher’s contract. Requirements for the process are outlined in state law. Join Sam Jones-Rogers, CASB Director of Legal Services, and Evan Gaffey, CASB Chief Legal and General Counsel, as they walk through the complex issues associated with nonrenewals. This webinar presentation is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
