STUDENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY 2024Friday, December 6 - Saturday, December 7Student Leadership Academy Student Leaders ApplicationJoin students from across the state in order to learn from each other, hear from school boards and district leaders, gain valuable communication and advocacy skills using your voice, and meet incredible new friends. Our program runs from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon where students will participate in a variety of activities, the Saturday general session, and much, much more. This is a great opportunity for students to engage in transformational leadership development, partake in hands-on activities, address issues affecting their community, and create powerful breakout sessions to work alongside school board members. The CASB Student Leadership Academy is designed and facilitated by high school CASB student leaders with a focus on helping students learn about and hone their leadership skills, develop the tools necessary for effective leadership, and help to build a more inclusive, responsive culture in their schools. Student Leadership Academy Student Leaders ApplicationConvention Dress: Business casual. Because temperatures can vary in the event rooms, it is wise to dress in layers. Chaperone Requirements: Chaperones MUST STAY with their students at all times during the programming. Chaperones WILL BE required to attend a virtual meeting to review chaperone duties during CASB's Student Leadership Academy Program. There will be a few options for virtual meeting dates we will send out in October. Students traveling to Colorado Springs MUST have a chaperone staying at their hotel. Dietary Restrictions: Please make sure to list dietary restrictions when registering students. We are not able to accommodate dietary restrictions that are not related to health issues.
