Join CASB members for our 83rd Annual Convention. We have a great schedule in place that will give you time to learn, network, and engage with school board members and education experts from across the state and beyond.
Exhibit Hall is open Thursday, December 7 - Friday, December 8. Our Exhibitor Raffle is on Friday afternoon!
The Student Strand Leadership program kicks off on Friday, December 8, and runs through the afternoon of Saturday, December 9.  It is designed with the guidance of students, which promises to have more impact for your students. Student Leadership Strand Registration Will Close on Wednesday, November 29th.

The Saturday afternoon schedule creates time for board retreats after the morning General Session. We ask that you schedule retreats during this time.

CASB Annual Convention Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made in writing and received no later than November 3, 2023, and will incur a $100.00 cancellation fee for the full Convention registration and a $50 cancellation fee for the Key People registration. Cancellation refunds will be processed after December 11, 2023. Refunds are not granted for failure to attend, late arrival, or early departure. CASB is not responsible for state or district travel restrictions, medical or weather-related cancellations, or for hotel or other costs associated with the convention if the registrant is unable to attend. 

In the event cancellation is necessary due to a medical emergency, please contact CASB. You will have the option of substituting your event registration with another district member. Cancellations after the deadline and only due to medical emergencies are on a case by case basis. If approved, cancellation fees may vary based upon the date of the request and may not be offered closer to the actual event date.

Board Organizational Meeting Notice
Colorado's Open Meetings Law requires full and timely notice to the public when a quorum of the board is gathering and "public business is discussed or at which any formal action may be taken." C.R.S. 24-6-402. 

If your board plans to hold a retreat or its organizational meeting, the meeting must be noticed, recorded, and open to the public as any other regular or special meeting.

One or more members of the [insert district name] board of education will be attending the Colorado Association of School Board's Annual Convention December 7-9, 2023. The purpose of this event is for board members to engage in professional learning--it is not to conduct public business of the local district or engage in formal action. While notice is not required pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402, the Board believes in transparency and therefore is providing this information regarding the event.


Continuing Education Credit

Continuing Education Credit Hours may be obtained through attendance in breakout sessions during our 2023 Fall Conference and/or the 83rd Annual Convention. Please use this form to document your attendance at the specific breakout session. All sessions and times need to be documented. You will receive a certificate of attendance upon receipt of your completed form.
