Deadline for Convention presentation submissions is Friday, August 2

The theme for the 79th CASB Annual Convention on December 5-8, 2019 is Creating a Vision for Colorado — The Challenge of Change. Consider sharing your expertise and experience in order to help your peers learn from your own experiences. We are seeking session presentation proposals from school districts, school boards, thought leaders and like-minded organizations.

Proposal topics may address the following and should be prepared with your audience in mind (school board members and superintendents):

  • Innovation and vision
  • The challenge of change 

  • Communication in the midst of crisis 

  • School safety
  • Equity
  • Rural innovation, vision and challenges

  • Advocacy

  • School finance

  • The work of the school board

  • Policy and governance

  • Social-emotional learning

  • Mental health in education
  • The school board and superintendent relationship

  • Onboarding practices for new school board members
