CASB Serving You!
CASB believes that quality public education is the foundation for our nation’s economic prosperity, community’s quality of life, and every child’s opportunity to live their best life. The following are current events and opportunities for our members:
PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
- The 81st Annual CASB Convention: Resilient, Ready, Relentless for Colorado Students will be held on Dec 2-4 at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The Marriott Courtyard still has rooms available.
- CASB Connections Podcast Onboarding New Board Members Part 2 is now available. This series focuses on sharing the district's vision, mission, and strategic plan process. A shared vision is imperative for a well-functioning board governance team. A vision action plan is necessary in order to move the district forward with the goal of improved student achievement for all students. A vision without a plan is not actionable. Get new board members on the same page by sharing the process up front.
ADVOCACY
- The October 26, 2021 School Board Advocate addressed the recent Delegate Assembly and the resolutions adopted by our Delegates; the open seats on the CASB Board and CHSAA Legislative Council; the 2021 November ballot; a request for CASB members to serve on the FRN; and news from the Gold Dome. You can access the recording here.
- Access the CASB website page — 2021 November Election Information — to access the Blue Book and two sample CASB Resolutions to oppose Proposition #119 and Proposition #120.
