CASB Board of Directors Election Timeline and ProceduresThe CASB Board of Directors has openings for the following regions: 4, 5, 7, 11, and 13 (previously Large District)The qualifications necessary to serve on the CASB Board are to be a board member of good standing in Region 4, 5, 7, 11, or 13 (previously Large District) and to have the enthusiasm and time to serve on the CASB Board. For your convenience, here is a list of districts by CASB region. At the Annual Business Meeting at the CASB Convention, Lori Goldstein (Adams 12 Five Star Schools) was elected to serve in one of the Large District seats. This election took place before the passing of the newly adopted bylaws, and under the previous bylaws, Adams 12 was included in the Large District group. With the adoption of the new bylaws, Adams 12 is now in Region 5 (Aurora Public Schools, Cherry Creek School District, Denver Public Schools, Douglas County School District, and Jefferson County Public Schools will remain in the newly named Region 13). Business Item #1 that was passed at the Business Meeting gives the Board of Directors authority to create a transition plan from the previous bylaws to the newly adopted version. As there are two vacant seats on the Board of Directors for Region 5, Lori Goldstein will be shifted from the Region 13 seat to represent Region 5. This leaves one vacant seat in Region 5, and one vacant seat in Region 13 available, in addition to the seats in Regions 4, 7 and 11. Electronic submissions in Word format should be submitted to CASB President Lindley McCrary in care of [email protected]. Applications are due no later than noon on January 5, 2024.
